This project has two major inspirations. The first: as a child, I used to constantly build pillow forts and nests. The second: when I studied abroad in Copenhagen a year ago, our academic building had a sprawling, free form couch that we used to sprawl out on, and which brought us—the students—a lot closer. I decided to channel each into my design: a communal nest.
