The Compost King of NY & Circular Economics

When looking at the reading the compost king I found the reading particularly interesting because it attack the idea sustainability from multiple different angles. The reading at first was little bit overwhelming but as I went on it was an interesting way to see this story. Actually a couple things I got the reading was he really get to see the different dynamics that surround a Business or industry and the legality of things. For example, in the article talked about how people were for the idea of sustainability and compost but when they actually had to deal with the reality of how bad it smells people did not like it. So that lead the owner to work around solutions for how to deal with the smell. Secondly you really get the idea that this was a progression overtime because the owner of the recycling plant at Had experience in the past. He talked about how he put compost onto a tree to help fertilize the plant and after sometime learn the ins and outs of how to correctly do things. Also another aspect that was promised the reading what the laws he had to get around when he came to New York’s recycling policy. he said in the meeting that he had a higher a bunch of lawyers to get around this problem. And this is something that I think is important for everyone to be aware of when they get into a business or an LLC that there’s always got to be legal nightmares that what you have to deal with. Furthermore we get more ideas of sustainability and where it can be more problematic than just putting your recycling in the right place. In the reading he touched on how people weren’t always recycling the correct things and this really did affect the outcome of the recycling but that was one point that really stood out to me. You can’t control how people Will respond to the program for the new ideas getting put into the environment. A friend of mine back in Indiana had a decomposing Garden where he put compost there it was interesting to see that to Get applied on a larger scale. That’s one thing that I am aware of is the fact that Setting up an organization that is involved around the system and how people interact can be very challenging and problematic at times and takes a lot of time and money to set up. For the plain fact that people don’t like change and get them to better I Understand the new situations is also hard. Overall from this reading I got to learn more about how compost works and taking it to  a more industrial scale. My only question would be how would one be able to start the program like this’s If they didn’t have the financial capital that they needed. That’s one thing that I always seem to look at is because I was following research on Mini how are plans that were creating and in the early 2010 it cost about $200,000 to buy the miniature power plant the could power neighborhood but with the use of technology they have now brought the price down to 40,000. So as technology improves the idea sustainability becomes more and more efficient. But what is the line between sustainability and efficiency.

Was was That was provided about circular economics was broken. And did not work when I clicked on it but I did a little bit of research on what that premise was ended overall talks about the consumer cycle and how one those about the consumption of the product overall with that idea in mind we covered this in economics about how it all works and comes together but to see if be applied to the system it Was interesting and is someone that wants to get into the field of product design it makes me think more critically about what I’m using and immense ask a beneficial and will have a long shelf life or if it’s just adding to the landfills. Overall that’s what I got from researching about that
