For my video essay, I am focusing on Gaudí’s architectural pieces in Barcelona, Spain, based on my trip there over spring break. From the Basílica de La Sagrada Família to Casa Batlló, Gaudí draws inspiration from nature in order to create magnificent and unique structures that convey his fascination with it.
In my video, I hope to display Gaudí’s works and tell the story behind them. And then I hope to contrast that in the end with New York City’s architecture, showing examples of how our city lacks this aspect of the nature that Gaudí brings to Barcelona.
