Integrative Studio: Bridge 2 Peer to Peer

Introduction to our character: Aubrey Ryder

we brainstormed her character on a shared google drive document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bXvZvyrfNFFiWTR_AMdTZLjf8BdXDL7NKX0qztuX2Tc/edit?usp=sharing

Below are the images of our 3D collage of Aubrey’s handbag and the contents in the bag:

Process photos:

Selection of my 20 drawings chosen to be used: the drawings that I chose to use for this project influenced our project because we felt like both Grace and I drew out very personal and intimate feelings we had experienced in our life, therefore we wanted the final project to represent this concept somehow. We decided on creating her handbag and the contents in it because revealing the contents of a woman’s handbag is a very intimate and personal thing and can reveal a lot about that woman’s personality and life. I felt like this was a successful choice as it not only allows our viewers to get to know our character but our drawings’ meaning too.

Excerpt from Aubrey’s diary (integrative seminar essay)

Always present yourself well. It’s hard to keep up with this saying sometimes but if you don’t, how else are you going to achieve anything in life? It’s hard to pull your act together when you desire nothing but more sleep, however, if this is the cause of why someone has a poor first impression of you, how could you ever forgive yourself?

Final Reflection:

Overall, I think Grace and I collaborated very well to create our character, Aubrey. We executed our ideas very well and managed the limited time we had very well. We put a lot of thought into creating our character and did research when we were creating the actual objects (as we made sure it was life size and as accurate and functional as possible).
