Phase one of the Second Skin Paper Folding project!
The two animals I picked were the Okapi and the Pangolin. Although the Okapi has stripes similar to those of a Zebra, I was surprised to learn that they are actually most closely related to Giraffes!
I had a very difficult time coming up with my own design. I had never done anything like this assignment before. I even watched an MC Escher documentary for inspiration.
I had many attempts at scoring, cutting, and folding before I found something I could work with. My first attempts at the project:

Tests with thread, which are much smaller, because I found the thread to be hard to work with and frustrating!
