In my protective hometown of Wilton, Connecticut I found myself disconnected from the mainstream cliques. However, once I entered high school I began to realize that this was mostly due to the high standards I constantly set myself to. It was my passion for art and greek culture that others couldn’t share. I wasn’t meant to be ordinary, I was meant to find beauty in unimaginable places. Freshman year was my awakening. That spring I joined the tennis team post ACL reconstructive surgery and met three of the most intelligent, delightful, crazy, and talented individuals around. I was in awe by their courage on the court as well as by their generosity and kindness off it. Even though we all came from various social circles we all found qualities in the other that were relatable and admiring. I guess one could say we are woven in our racquets: and a bond through sport and play, is a relationship that stands.
