Reflection and Final Response to Dreamtime Project

During my planning of the Dreamtime project I wanted to create something that I care about and think about a lot. When searching for inspiration I thought to start with my favorite color palette, pinks and purples. When searching pink on Artstor I didn’t have any luck so I searched terms like electric, city, neon. I got more results and found my inspiration photos. From there I was able to find my color palette and practice my gradients and shapes. After that it was easy to see my vision of what I wanted the background and layer the storytime on top. I was manipulating the relationship between nature and city and how they work together, especially going from living in nature to moving to the city. I really like how in the city nature is incorporated on the sidewalk with the rows of flowers which is what I saw in the photo. When my geometric background was complete I then moved onto the dreamtime and at the bottom corner started with the buildings for the skyline and then on the top right corner I have a pattern of flowers in rows. I then chose the ellipse shape filled with the pattern and made it almost a gradient falling into the city. The story is overall city to nature and how they can coexist.
