In Integrative Studio our Multiple Perspectives project has us interview someone we find interesting. I chose to interview a Lang Student, Eden. She is from France and has now moved for the first time to New York. Although this is her first move she visited frequently and also attended an international school in France, allowing her to begin to get the American experience. When asking Eden questions she spoke about identity and how she is in this in between space. She doesn’t ever truly feel home when she is in either France or America. I found this particularly interesting to me because I have moved 5 times, including internationally and I always felt that America was home. She spoke about how bing bilingual affected her experience and how the culture and language is very different in France, but she never fully identified with that. As Eden adjusts to living in New York City she is slowly finding her way and figuring out what home means to her.
