Here is a wooden paintbrush holder I made for my Making Meaningful Things class. This was my first time using wood and I learned a lot of new things during this process! I learned how to use a lot of different power tools and machines in the woodshop. I genuinely needed something that would hold my paintbrushes while I was painting so that I wouldn’t have to put them on the table making it dirty. I use oak wood then put a dark walnut stain on top of that and finished it by putting a cleary polyurethane gloss on top of the stain so that if paint were to drip on it I could easily clean it off. I also included my original sketch page to show how much the final product changed from my original vision.
