My story begins in Madrid, Spain; where most of my family lives. When I was five years old we moved to a place surrounded by mountains, called Santiago de Chile. I grew up in-between places with different cultures but I managed to find a home in both of them.
This song is called “Alturas” which means “Heights”. It’s played by a Chilean group called Inti Illimani. The music is inspired by the high mountains in Chile, The Andes.
My favorite thing about Santiago is that no matter where you are you can always see the mountains on the east, which means you can always find your way home.
