For this exercise, we had to design a packaging for a new soda company. We spent 15 minutes and drew 20 quick sketches.
The goal was to get the ideas going and out of our head, to get as many new designs as possible and get a few that we like to explore further. It was fun to put ourselves in the situation of a real designer and to try and come up with many ideas in a short period of time. It was a bit hard at first but once I had a few it was easier to get new ideas or modify some of the ones I had already done. I think it’s so useful to do this for any project because it helps creativity flow and it doesn’t give you time to get stuck with a single idea.
