Bench 2, Experience + Meaning

This is my ordinary object, after observing it for 10 minutes. Even though I knew this bench all too well, I began to realize in minute 2 that I hardly knew it at all. I thought about it’s source, it’s parts, it’s use and users, it’s durability, it’s age and a lot more questions. I drew the bench next to me instead of across from me for almost 5 minutes. I chose to draw this angle because I didn’t think my drawing would be much different than my first if I had chosen the same one.
