Event Scores: 2 Processes and Results

Event Score 1: Creating a written event score and passing it on (in class)

Inspired by T’s pet chameleon, Pablo, I wanted to design an interactive experience that focused on patterns and colors in the surrounding setting. The photo scavenger hunt, “Chameleon” is a photo journal experience, asking the viewer to find objects in the outside world that match the color on the page. Thus, turning the book into a Chameleon. Rin then went around the city and took photos of the book blending in, then editing them in Photoshop into a single poster.

Event Score 2: producing a realization from a classmate’s event score (that’d been developed from another classmate’s original photo)

Then, in class I received Sasha’s written event score- a new york city menu, prompting me to go out and buy a meal. Her photos were based off a photo from Tyler. I then followed the prompt, going to Chipotle to get an avocado tostada. Additionally, I wanted this object to last and physically represent the food- so I took the branding and packaging materials, representations of the menu and the prompt, and recreated the food I ordered. Also, as the transportation was part of the menu, I included an infographic with my route, details, address, etc of the journey to get there on the inside lid, along with my receipt from the actual purchase. The items composed of the burrito include plastic lids, chip paper bags, water cup, tissue paper, straws, and napkins.
