Bridge Project #3: “Color & Convergence)

Upon brainstorming colors that had great importance in our lives, Annie, Vincent, Skye, and I landed on the color green. Having all grown up surrounded by nature, this color was something that could been seen anywhere around us at any time of the day. Because of our strong connection to this color and the role that it played in the nature that surrounded us while growing up, we decided to create a forrest-themed soundscape. The initial idea behind the creation of this soundscape was that we would each be walking up to a microphone in the woods, reciting our poem, and walking off as the next person would then take the stage. In reality, we recorded in a quiet booth and used pre-recorded noises to create the “forrest” around us. As we ran with this idea, we added additional sound effects to enhance the meaning behind each poem.
