So far, I’ve completed work on the script and have modeled half of the characters on suspended armatures. In addition to these clay models, I’ve modeled both of these characters in Maya as well. I’ve gathered many resources for reference material for the background / desktop. In addition, I’ve done a lot of research and have found out that using Adobe Character Animator, I can import mouth-shapes and have the program automatically render out a lip sync to my audio file for each character. After that, I plan to use After Effects to composite the mouth shapes onto the characters. Using this technique and some simple loops, I plan to shoot this project around 3 to 5 minutes. I am recording all the audio today and plan to have the rest of the characters modeled in addition to the finished lip syncs for all the characters by next week.
