Fashion is not only in space and time, but it also exists in memories, songs, writing, theatre and in the culture of our community. It’s a tool/an art form that connects different areas of knowledge, different experts of expertise, different nationalities and different communities together. Fashion is the beauty of share experiences, memories, and telling stories of lifestyles, a lifestyle which artists and designers reflect upon in their designs/craftsmanship. In order to make a sketch, a drawing, and a feeling reality designers and artists need patternmakers, pattern cutters, tailors, marketing people, market experts, businessmen’s, salesmen’s, biologists, and chemists, to tell their story in reality. Suggesting that artists and designers rely upon/ connect with other areas of knowledge such as mathematics, biology, chemistry and certain foreign languages to communicate, investigate, test, enrich and invent innovative, new clothing styles such as products. In other words, fashion or the intention of fashion something acts as a bridging point, a non-verbal communication tool that brings together people of different interests to create the impossible (which can be expressed through clothing, shoes, accessories, hardware, a mood of a lifestyle or a person).

Fashion, which aims to be different, unique and limited, usually shows a deep connection to personal experiences, memories, and moods that the designer or the community felt. I think being inspired by personal stories allows artists or designers to conduct research from a greater area of knowledge which challenges and enriches the collection on a much deeper, emotional level than a story would that is chasing, copying trends from the youth. That doesn’t mean that designers cant draw inspiration from youth, different community groups, and styles, it just must be constructively, critically eyed and experience by always connecting a memory of your own with the story of this collection (which makes usually makes this collection a deeper and more meaningful collection that starts new conversations and collaborations).

Personally, I create fashion that empowers the soft, critical, smart female voice and aims to set new standards, when integrating sustainability in the modern fashion world.  I create fashion which is a piece of art and not a trend that lasts less than a week. I want to be part of the new tomorrow where fashion is empowering, biological, political and sustainable.

On that note, yes fashion is extremely personal, doesn’t matter if ist real or fake, you envision something that drives your passion, your heart, your story to tell your community something that roots deeply in your style, art of making and your reasoning why you continuing to make fashion.
