A figurative artist Alex Katz opened his exhibition in Gavin Brown’s enterprise(GBE). In this exhibition, there are 13 pieces of his painting in this gallery which are focused on his series of landscapes. Also, we can see his unique style of brushstrokes.

Alex Katz was born in 1927, Brooklyn, New York. And studied in The Cooper Union and Skowhegan school of painting and sculpture. His paintings and sculptures are exhibited in huge number of galleries in the world.

It is the building of the gallery and there were many pieces of art works inside,

These three art works that I posted are my favorite pieces from this exhibition.

Especially, the last piece can see his great imagination. The name of the painting is “Fog”, I couldn’t notice that is fog, but after I had known that is his own imagination of the fog, I really shocked.

After I had seen the Alex Katz’s exhibition, I also went Hudson River because the gallery located near in Hudson River. It was really hot day, but I could see the sunny day of Manhattan.
