This Friday, I went to Deborah Remington’s exhibition with my classmates, Cynthia and Sunny.

Deborah Remington studied painting in San Francisco Art Institute, and she also studied calligraphy in Japan.
After then, she taught students in NYU and Cooper Union, and also held her exhibition in New Jersey and New York.
When I first saw Remington’s art works, they looked too abstract to recognize what the topic is.
Especially, I really wondered second art work called “Dorset.” It looked like a camera or a hanging mirror on the wall. And their color make me feel creepy, and grotesque.
After we saw all of art works, we decided to go another place in Chelsea where recommended by Cynthia. There was near in Chelsea Market.
A lot of art works were expressing satire. For example, 8th art work was talking about “Life is beautiful”, even though a family was struggling with bankruptcy in this art work.
Also, this one was the funniest art work I have ever seen. Originally, this is Andrew Wyeth’s art work and another painter drew parody version of the painting.
Through these two exhibitions, I felt I learned a lot from these art works, and I was also inspired by their art works.
