I was inspired by the environmental issues I learned about in my Sustainable Systems class and wanted to spread the message through public street art. I used the lessons from class on Illustrator, perspective, color, and value altogether to create a mixed media piece. I mostly found that I grew to love Illustrator. I remember in the beginning of the semester it was brand new to me, and now I love the program! One thing I experimented with was spray paint. I’ve never spray painted before, and cut out my own stencils using scrap cardboard and an exact o knife and I was extremely happy with the results. This semester, a lot of my work was inspired around sustainable design and environmental issues and I really enjoyed being able to tie that into this final project. Overall, I’m happy with the final product.
