Compositional Sketches
For this memoir still life I wanted to depict a scene that tells the story of someone just getting home after a long day of running around/ commuting. I’m from New Jersey and go back and forth between my home and the city pretty often. When I get home (in NJ or NY) I love the feeling of dropping my bag, kicking off my shoes, and finally being able to lay down in my own space. Even though it is my story, I think it is a feeling of comfort that many can relate to.
