This logo that I created shows both the accomplishments of Christopher Columbus because he appears in the bottom right corner with his ships behind him, symbolizing his voyage, however it also shows the Taino Native Americans in the top left corner because they were the ones who were directly affected by his actions. The Taino statue appears much larger and is looking down on Columbus to show that although Columbus had some successes, the damage he did to the Natives was more significant. It is a physical and metaphorical representation showing that the Negative actions and suffering that the Natives underwent hold more significance than some of the accomplishments of Christopher Columbus.
