When I thought of the word strength, Barbara Kruger’s artwork came to mind. Her pop art is very bold and inspiring, with her use of red and white typography. Kruger’s messages are alway strong and made a bold statement. She tackles topics such as mental health, politics, and the portrayal of women in society. In addition, I was interested in her work because she attended Parsons School of Design in 1965. It is always interesting to admire and study powerful artwork of someone who studied at Parsons because she was on the same path that I am on right now.
