Annie Leibovitz is one of my favorite portrait photographers because of the fact that her work always seems so personal no matter the subject, content, or composition. She has such a specific view of her subjects and her style is instantly identifiable when seen. In addition to her subjects expressions, the lighting in her work is amazing because of its saturation and deep tones. She evokes a certain and specific emotion in each work, especially her work for Vanity fair, Les Miserables, and her many photographs of individuals.
