U.S. News announces the percentage of international students at Top U.S. universities for 2022-2023!
U.S.News recently released the Top University 2022-2023 international student campus ratio, follow me to see what are the 50 U.S. universities with the highest percentage of international students!
Among these 50 universities, most of the top 10 are schools in the top 20-50 range of the 2023 U.S. News ranking. For example, New York University at #3, Boston University at #4 and Carnegie Mellon University at #5.
In this list, we can see the top eight Ivy League schools only from around the 30th place. The University of Pennsylvania is the Ivy League school with the highest percentage of international students with 13%, tied with Case Western Reserve University, Syracuse University, UC Berkeley and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Harvard University, Princeton University, and Dartmouth College, the three Ivy League schools, all have 12% of international students. Behind them is Brown University with a value of 11%. Cornell University is 10%.
In addition to the Ivy League schools, the performance of the other Top 10 universities in the Composite ranking is also noteworthy. They vary, such as the University of Chicago (16%) and Johns Hopkins University (14%), which have a higher percentage of international students. Those with lower percentages include Stanford University (11%), MIT (10%), and Northwestern University (10%).
The UC system has no schools in the top 10 this year, but there are a total of five in the top 50: UC Davis (16%), UC San Diego (16%), UC Irvine (15%) and UC Berkeley (13%), and UC Santa Barbara (11%).

The percentage of international students allows applicants to see if the school is friendly to international students on the one hand, and to determine if the campus community is diverse enough on the other. The percentage of international students often represents the degree of diversity in the university community. However, this does not mean that a school with a higher number of international students is a better fit for international students.
Let’s take a look at a few universities that have a high percentage of international students, have ample experience teaching international students, and have good overall university rankings.
① New York University
