Question #3

On page 243 of the text Panopticism, Foucault states that the Panopticon “must not be understood as a building, but rather a mechanism of power in its ideal form. It’s functioning must be represented as a purely architectural and optical system”. In this way, does Foucault state that the system could work on its own through its idea of holding power by being visible, yet unverifiable?
