We were challenged to create a garment using a stiff/hard material and only the shape of a triangle. Only after we came up with the design and pattern for the garment were we to then decide what musical character it could become a costume for. I decided to transform my top into a costume for a Lullaby League Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz.
The final project in Soft Structures was to re-imagine a previous project as a garment. I chose my “Skin” project, the toilet brush cover.
For my elective, Soft Structures, we were challenged to create a covering/skin for an everyday object. This is my process, starting with research and ending with the final piece.
For our first project in Integrative Studio 2, we had to recreate an old card de visite, as well as a business card and hang tag for our future brand.
