Based on my research, I decided to create my own display mechanism. My research was about the relationship between customers and interior organizations of stores. During the observation process and research, I’ve seen that there are two main types of display systems. First one refers to the basic and continuous display items which are not even catching any attention. Their main purpose is to highlight the products and grab the attention to them. On the other hand, the second display system matches with the general concept of the products or collections shown. I decided to design a section of a women’s wear store. It is planned to be a temporary mechanism which has a huge connection with the collection. It is vibrant and colorful. Also it will be located at the front side of the store to give a nice first impression to customers about the store. The collection served on my display is reflecting the theme which is about historical monuments build in the Roman Empire times. So the display mechanism is also carrying details about the Roman Empire and they both create a harmony inside the store. I chose to design this because based on my observations, especially for luxury stores, loyal customers prefer to see this combination of interior design and collections. I’m planning to to a 3D modeling for my final design.
