The first step of this project was to explore Chinatown in person and sketch what most caught my attention.
When the time came to start designing the front and back sides of three different bills for Chinatown , I started by sketching several symbolic illustrations representing both the United States of America, New York City and China (see below)
After completing the above sketches, I scanned each one of them opened and layered them in photoshop, finally creating the following bills
