During this performance, I explored the theme of time by incorporating both the present and the past. I used crayons as a symbol for both my creativity and imagination. The performance starts with me gripping the crayon by my fist and letting the different colors flow across the page. Every time a crayon is used, the crayon is broken in half and put to the side. Soon after all the crayons break, I change my posture and start trying to put the crayons back into one piece. This performance is meaningful because it reminded me of a time when creating works of art just came to me naturally. I didn’t hesitate to make decisions on the spot nor did I contemplate on ideas.
