For this project, I photographed my daily routine, the process of making sculpture and mechanical joints, to show the sequence of time. This interested me because I thought that the process of making something out of one’s hands is pretty attractive but people usually ignore the beauty of it. So I decided to record the process of me making a paper sculpture by using the same angle.
After finished photo shooting, I printed out 15 photos by using InDesign. Then, I assembled all my photos into an accordion styled book with the cardboard cover that was cut off from the blick’s wrapping paper. By using the blick’s pattern and the barcode, it gave the book a stronger personality and the connection to the handcraft. Overall, I enjoyed the time that I had spent on the project and also happy with the result that it has come out.
