Lily Yeh is an artist who devoted herself to the communities that all over the world, and The Village of Arts and Humanities in North Philadelphia was the most famous achievement of her. I was inspired by one of her work called Tree of Life, which expresses the spirit and the strength of the life. Thus, I created this photomontage which has different races of hands, faces, and even the countries that meant a lot in her life. Also, the shape of my image is similar to a tree, which is a part that I took reference from Lily Yeh’s work, Tree of Life. For me, the tree shape stands for the perseverance and an unlimited potential of life, which is another reason that made me choose this shape for my response.
