What my team created is an accent piece belt. It incorporates the top layer of a shoe, show laces, a fragment of a mask, and many components from a purse. I initially was very stressed about this project. Imagining the possibilities, function possibilities, of  broken objects is a difficult task. I spent a lot of time just contemplating on the objects themselves hoping that I would have an epiphany that led me to an amazing design. On contrary, what allowed my team to excel in our creative process was an improvisational approach. Deconstructing everything and laying it in front of us allowed us to visualize what we could make. The rest of the process was more like pop-corning ideas and implement facets of the different objects. I struggle a lot with allowing myself to be spontaneous with my work, so this was a difficult but meaningful project.
