Revised Social Justice Hub – Design Research, Proposal and Intended Engagement

After our last class it came to my attention that designing a whole system for the submission and exhibition of work in the BRB Social Justice Hub was a bit more ambitious then the time frame we have to test its potential outcome. For this reason I decided to narrow down my prototype to designing the user interface (using indesign) and the user experience (simulated by using Invison) of a website that would be used for the submission process. Below is a dissection of the MTA’s Arts & Design Call for Artist web platform as a case study for the structure or the Social Justice Hub’s submission website. Along with this research I also highlighted the components of my prototype by identifying; what would be beneficial to incorporate or leave out of my design, and why the submission process would differ. Finally I included a proposal for how I plan to engage my intended audience.
