on how MORUS and the East Village neighborhood are enhancing sustainability and community resiliency. Since Hurricane Sandy had hit the neighborhood was in a very hard spot, they already struggled to make money and become successful. After the hurricane, the community came together in order to solve these issues. The community worked together in order to build their area back up. They were pumping out flooded basements with bikes and using production style lines with buckets to work productively. The garden and art surrounding were beautiful and it gave me the motivation to help put something like this together.
