Books response

Today we went to the Center for Book Art

This piece inspired me, because it is a great example of ambiguous, interpretive art, which is my favorite kind. Also, the style of drawing and background works very well to make it pleasing to view. The details in the background are very detailed and tell a story in of itself. It is valuable in art to be able to tell a story with every aspect of the piece and I think this piece did that very well.

This piece/book surprised me, because a page of it was covered in ink that rubbed off with touch. I was surprised, because I imagine art to be preserved to last forever at great quality, but the ink on this page is meant to deteriorate and get more faded with time. It is an interesting concept that I do not see enough in art today.
