In 2013, my parents finally succame to my begging and bought me a smartphone. Before then, I used my iPod touch and flip phone interchangeably depending on the task.
With my new phone (a Nokia Lumia) I felt adultish, up to date with the cool kids, and in-touch with anything I needed on the web. This, of course, opened up a Pandora’s box of distractions.
2014 was the year I started my 2-year humanities class. That class was probably one of 4 throughout high school that heavily impacted my perception of the world.
