UMBRELLA PLANTER
Our group (Sofie, Arya, Shreya and I) decided to create a mycelium planter in the shape of an umbrella.
We faced some trouble at first trying to figure out how we are going to make an umbrella shaped planter out of mycelium. Yet, we figured that we would try using an actual umbrella to get the exact shape.
THE PROCESS:
1/Use a broken and unused umbrella to create a planter
2/Put mycelium inside of the umbrella, and bowls under it to make the shape more hollow
3/Cover it with a plastic bag and make small holes on the for drainage
4/Wait for the mycelium to dry for a week, remove the metal rods, and remove/cut the plastic bag
