Reflection towards Khebar

John Zorn was one of the most important composer in America; he was a multi-instrumentalist and usually incorporates different styles of music which identified as avant-garde or experimental music.

Different between traditional jazz music, in my view point John’s song “Khebar” combined the style of Southeast asian music. However, it might be combing a style from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which was located in the northwestern region along the international border of Afghanistan. The song gave me a sense of humor and reminded me about the film SlumDog Millionaire. Although the storyline of the film seems different between the atmosphere of Kyebar which was having a sense of humor, it still matches the scene in SlumDog Millionare while kids are running between the markets.
