“Publicity”

As the man mentioned the publicity was never satisfied with their lives, and publicity was promoting this system of consumerism. I really agree with the man about the consumer society, where business used advertisement to trigger the desire of human being, and turned them workers that entered the loop of keep earning and buying things during their lifetime. Since from what I saw, although there are still people who have the ability to live in their own world, however, the major publicity was brainwashed by the concept of owning things to be beloved. Especially living in the generation where social media was a flourish, people envy others and affect each other’s thoughts, which a lot of them can only see what they don’t have from other’s perfect life they created on the screen platform.

However, the man also forgot the point of “ only the rich have the opportunity of being painted ” while mentioning what the old European society portrayed. Recordings in the past, which were oil paintings, was mostly owned by the royalties. History can’t tell how the middle or lower class society live, also their idea and thoughts on consumerism and living. Oil paintings can only tell about the lives of people in the royalties, however, we couldn’t estimate their thoughts of desire in a correct way.
