Before The Flood

Before The Flood

I remember after watching, the documentary of “food inc” how much I was triggered to get more involve in public issues that threaten the whole human body and was seeking to find out ways to help as an artist and citizen of the Earth. “Before the Flood” directed by Fisher Stevens and mainly walked through the climate issue from the steps with Leonardo DiCaprio.

In this three years journey, the whole story went from the introduction of problems in politics and fossil fuel, the situation of climate change in the world view, and finally brought us to the end with the success of Paris Climate agreement, where people can make a change and find hope through their change in lifestyle and involvement with the issue itself.

So How can we make changes?

At the last part of the film, it suggests the people to

  1. consume and live differently
  2. vote for senates who care about the issue/ get involved

Taking this idea back locally to our country, Taiwan, just want to find out some of the resources and things that I can do as a citizen of Taiwan to start locally and help the environment to avoid climate change.
