Kay-D is the supposed son of Jay-Z, who grew up on the streets on NY, abandoned by his superstar dad HOVA! He’s now a wealthy and successful artist who’s thriving in his field. Designing for world renowned brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Versace as a shadow artist. His, main aim now is to let the whole world know who he really is, and let everyone know his life story and who his dad really is. Blue Ivy wasn’t first. Truth is, Kay-D doesn’t really exist.‘Kay-D’ is actually REEZ, a struggling artist, hoping to become famous one day. He’s putting up a front as Jay-Z’s son to get public attention in the hope that, that same attention would be directed to his art. Who doesn’t want to know who Jay-Z’s first son is? REEZ puts his work all over Manhattan, writing pithy messages about the world on walls and signing off by posting his branded ‘REEZ’ sticker. REEZ likes to associate himself to the world renowned artist Basquiat, because he’s his inspiration. No one knows if ‘Kay-D’ is the actual son of Jay-Z yet, when they find out the truth, REEZ’s work would have picked up already. He believes his work is going to make it, even if he doesn’t.

WOODEN STRUCTURE

We were all given different random objects in space and materiality class. I ended up getting something that was rather familiar to me, in the sense that recognized instantly the item I picked. it was like the handle/end of some kind of tool. So unlike most of my classmates I didn’t get some abstract item, so what I intended doing with this project was to create an abstract structure for the item as we were supposed to create some form of enclosure for the item.  (I placed my iPod on the structure in place of the item itself because i didn’t have the item on me at the time)
