Reflection
During the brainstorming and observation steps of my process, I focused my attention on surface level observations of my room and not my emotional attachments to objects and things within my room. This allowed me to manifest myself into the importance of memory, both within the things of my room and the essay itself. Additionally, during my hour observation, I found myself losing focus and just sitting in silence. One hour can be seen as both a long time and a short time and during this project I learned the importance of being aware of the passing of time in relation to my surroundings. Considering the page-limit for this assignment, deciding which details to include and take out also proved important because I wanted enough time and space to dive into a topic and successfully incorporate research. For the upcoming research projects, I will spend more time finding sources that more accurately line up with my topic of interest especially in terms of context.
