The process on making these photos on Illustrator was to create two layers, Figure layer (layer 1) as the picture of the life drawing, then a second layer to trace the outline of the life drawing using the pen tool. After connecting the lines on the pen tool, use the direct selection tool to select points to make them curved or to fix up the area you are working on. Afterwards, press select all and then click the rich black that you should have made in the color palette. Creating the drawings and the silhouettes were both very different. The drawings were observational from a model using charcoal and paper. Fabricating the silhouette was digital, using your computer and mouse, pinpointing any major curves to plot the point on the outline of the figure.
