Week 4: the figure – vocabulary and sketchbook entry

1. On the left hand side of your sketchbook/journal do the following writing exercise: using the new vocabulary from class, write a short paragraph describing what you did in class.  Answer these questions: what was your favorite part about drawing from the model?  What did you learn about model drawing?
2. Use the left side of your sketchbook and two extra pages to create many gesture drawings of the people around you.  You can even create gesture drawings of your dog or cat.
