What I noticed from these images were how far the lapel goes down and how straight the silhouettes were compared to the silhouettes of the previous decades that focused on the S-curve.
Due to this law, The crime rate sky rocketed because alcohol was illegally distributed in places such as speakeasies. Gang activity increased as well. The adrenaline rush and the prospect of money involved in crime invited many women to join the business of bootlegging.
Women were not usual suspects which made them perfect for the job. I made this jacket for women bootleggers in the 1920s. The jacket has a long lapel and a straight silhouette. It includes two patch pockets on the outside, four patch pockets on the inside, and 2 secret pockets in the lining of the armhole.
