flowery glasses

Here are some finished look of the glasses that I created using wires and tissue papers.

I blended the color black and red together to make my flowers.

These are the flowers that I made for decorations of my glasses.

The glasses look like this when I am wearing it.

Here are some inspiration sketches, I got inspirations when I was looking for David Bowie’s pictures. He often wears glasses during his the thin white duke period.

The original inspiration for my glasses was David Bowie. When I was searching for pictures of him, I found out that he wore a lot of glasses during his thin white duke style period. I wanted to create a bloody looking glasses using the watercolors. The intended function of my glasses was to wear it as an accessory: it could be worn as a pair of glasses and it could be a necklace at the same time. I used wires, tissue papers, and watercolors for this creation. I learned that I actually have so much left over wires from the last project for this project. I learned how to work with watercolors, they are not so much like acrylic, but they have more freedoms on their own and I should just let them work freely. The most enjoyable part of this project was when I was making a chain of my own, I found the process was calming and satisfying for some reasons. The most challenging part was to make the shape of the glasses, it was very hard to decide the width and the length. I am most satisfied with the color that I managed to blend out.
