Making color from wild plants.

In this exercise in my sustainable systems class we made paint from wild berries. In this process one has to grind berries with a mortar-pestle to which one has to add Gum arabic, and Alum ( which is supposed to intensify the color). One then has to pass this mixture through a sieve to remove big particles. Further smoothening the paint on a glass surface with a mullar gives a better result. it was an amazing experience that I might use in my future  projects to avoid using paint that has harmed the environment in its production.
