A Dream come true ( cliche right? )
All of my life (only 18 years) I’ve dreamt of living in New York City. I’ve always been in love with the vibe and the energy this city gives off. Before I decided to move here, I had to visit a few times of course to get familiar with the area. Thank god my fathers job requires traveling , otherwise I wouldn’t have been exposed to this life. My father is a sports agent focusing on specifically international basketball players. Therefore he has to travel around the world in order to meet these guys and get their career started. I had the pleasure of joining him for some of these trips including numerous three day trips to the big apple. The moment I realized that I needed to live here in New York City was when I attended my cousins graduation from Columbia University in 2009. With my family, we visited the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and of course, Times Square. The locals in New York live like they’re on a mission and are always so focused yet careless of how others view them, which is something that really caught my attention. The variety of cultures I see here in New York is amazing and I’ve never loved anything more. The acceptance of different views is outstanding. I knew I had to move to a place where people just don’t care for others opinions and continue to prosper in what they love doing. This was my best decision so far and I’m excited for what this city has to offer!
