For my two swatches, I wanted to represent the style of my chosen skin which is a pineapple. By doing this, I’ve selected a yellow orange trim to weave with that looks similar to the colors of a pineapple and a dark green trim with a rougher looking style to mimic the skin of a pineapple. I’ve become interested in the diamond shaped weaving to create the shape of a pineapple while including natural yarn, and the chosen green trim and the yellow orange trim.
Here, I have attempted to create a pyramid style design using the natural yarn, green trim and the yellow orange trim, there is still a lot of learning to be done.
For this piece, I struggled with trying to create a continuing diamond throughout the loom creating an illusion.
