For my semester long plastics project, I will examine the use of makeup containers after they are used and research where they end up. Though most of the products are recyclable, there must be a large portion that ends up in landfills which isn’t the best for the environment. Through this project, I will work with Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE or PET), High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and I will figure alternative to decrease the use of these harmful plastics.
